At the base of the French Pyrenees, in Basque country, lies the small municipality of Mauleon-Licharre where shoemaking, and the production of espadrilles, is a centuries-old tradition. Our Art of Soule espadrilles are made in Mauleon-Licharre by L’Artigue 1910, the last traditional French weaver, who has been making espadrilles since 1910.

Our authentic made in France espadrilles are lightweight, high-quality canvas with a woven hemp sole. These classic summer shoes are handcrafted from natural fibres that breathe and keep your feet cool.

Espadrilles fit small so choose one size up from your usual size. Our traditional models suit all types of foot. If you have broad feet, our traditional models are good for you.
